The Process

Nothing is cut until you approve it.

Every project starts with a detailed consultation — materials, finishes, dimensions and design intent. We work from your drawings and specs, and you review and approve the design before a single piece of steel is cut.

Everything is laid out, cut, welded and finished in our Belgrade, Montana shop. We stand behind every piece we build. If something isn’t right, we make it right.

Who We Are

Montana made. Built to last.

Split Mountain Metals was founded in 2014 by Brad and Carley Brenteson in Belgrade, Montana. Brad brings a lifetime of metalworking — from growing up on a farm in North-Central Montana to formal training as a machinist and welder in Helena.

We work directly with architects, interior designers and high-end residential builders who expect precision, and a fabricator they can trust to represent their vision.
